In 2013, I attended the LEITHS SCHOOL OF FOOD AND WINE for a three term course, resulting in a PROFESSIONAL CHEF’S DIPLOMA. I started my own business, RACHEL’S CREATIVE COOKING, last year; teaching children how to cook. I feel that cooking is an essential skill that we should all have and especially have the opportunity to learn from a young age.
I have travelled since I was a small child with my family and as I’ve grown up I have travelled all over the world to discover beautiful places and I’ve met wonderful people. I now have friends in so many countries worldwide, who I frequently visit, which I love because this enables me to learn much more about the culture and how other people live. I love to try different foods when I am travelling and I use these experiences in my work back home.
Over the past 6 years I have worked on a project in Lusaka, Zambia, which is very close to my heart and I will continue to do so in the future. I have worked closely with a selection of CHARITIES, including ROTARY INTERNATIONAL, of which I am a Paul Harris Fellow. Working with these charities has given me fantastic opportunities to travel including trips to ZAMBIA, INDIA, MALTA and across the UK.
My entire life revolves around travelling and food, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I hope that by writing this blog I can inspire others to take adventures and experience amazing things around the world.
